This special live performance takes place in the tatami room of a former ryokan over 100 years old, nestled in the historic town of Tsuyazaki, Fukuoka.
MARTER brings organic sounds and soulful vocals, delivering a unique blend of sensibility and raw authenticity shaped by his experiences around the world.
A carefully curated lineup of DJs and pop-up food & drink stands will also support the event.
Part 2 will be held at a local record shop in Tsuyazaki.

Tokyo-born artist Marter is a beatmaker, bassist, and vocalist whose sound blends poetic depth with soulful grooves, shaped by time spent in L.A. and Europe. From Fuji Rock to NHK’s “Minna no Uta,” he continues to perform across a wide range of stages.
L.A.とヨーロッパでの経験を重ねてきた東京出身のビート、ベース、歌を操るアーティスト。詩的な深みとグルーヴを携えた音で、Fuji RockからNHK「みんなのうた」まで多彩な舞台に立つ。
marter（マーテル）
東京生まれ。14歳の時L.A.に移住。高校時代にローカルのバンドにベースで入り ライヴを通じて音楽の道に進む決心をする。 アメリカの音楽大学にてjazz,gospel,soulなど様々なスタイルの音楽に触れ世界中から来た ミュージシャンと触れ合う。 2002年に自宅録音で『樹海』『月の出汐』をリリースする。 2005年にアルバム『Preferable Reality』を完成させ、ヨーロッパツアーへ。 世界最大のエレクトロニックミュージックフェスティヴァル "sonar 2005" に正式招待されライブを敢行。 2009年にはベルリン滞在中に製作されたアルバム『weltraumastethik』を発表。 そして2012年にはJazzy Sportからアルバム『Finding&Searching』を発表。 収録曲『When I'm with you』がiTunes Best of 2012のBest R&B songに選ばれる。 2014年10月にはアルバム『Songs of four seasons』をリリース。 2017年にChara『sweet and soul session tour』に（Kan Sanoと共に）参加。 2017年5月にニューアルバム『This Journey』をリリース（iTunes R&B chart 1位を獲得）。7月にはFuji Rock Festivalに出演する。 2019年にAvexよりメジャーデビューアルバム『By the Ocean』をリリース。 2022年にはニューアルバム『Through the Days of Fullfillment』をリリース。 2024年4、5月NHKみんなのうた『未来への道』放映中。 音楽を通して、新しい時代に向けてスピリチュアルメッセージを発信し続ける。
marter (masateru yamauchi)
Born in Japan, but having spent a significant amount of time in both the the U.S.and Europe, Masateru Yamauchi aka Marter has a developed a unique sound. One that’s eclectic, and futuristic. One that blends influences from a wide range of global sources and genres.
As a singer / songwriter and track / beat maker with 30 years of study, performance, and recording under his belt, Marter is aiming to make music without borders or boundaries. Having released over 10 albums to date, the classically trained multi-instrumentalist’s passion for his craft is now stronger than ever.
Inspired by the dance / club music scenes of Tokyo, New York, London, and Berlin, which he has experienced first hand, Marter is currently working on beat-driven material. Combining his live virtuosity on vocals, bass, and keys, with machined rhythms of various tempos.
Also taking cues from the spiritual teachings of many different traditional cultures, he’s on a journey to spread positive vibrations to the world. Marter’s mission is to send a much needed message of peace, harmony, and unity, while his curiosity, and quest for a true sound, never ends.
